Dr. Erin Edwards has worked in the field of special education for nearly thirty years as a clinician, systems manager, and educational consultant. She received her B.A. in educational psychology from Mount Holyoke College, and her M.A. in speech pathology and audiology from the University of Oregon. She also earned her Ed.D. in educational leadership and supervision from the American International College. As a trained speech-language pathologist, she has worked in several types of clinical settings including public and private schools, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Increasingly, her work has drawn her to the reform of special education delivery systems. Currently she is working on initiatives in public schools, charter school networks, and reform school districts to implement more highly effective and efficient special education supports for students with special needs.
