Director of Special Education
Stephanie Church has 14 years’ experience in the field of education… both general education and special education. She began her teaching career as a general education teacher and taught 9th – 12th grades. Upon receiving her Master’s degree in Special Education, Stephanie taught K-8th and 7th – 9th grades in a cross-categorical setting where she practiced both resource pull-out services and inclusionary services. During her teaching career, Stephanie has received two outstanding awards, Rookie Teacher of the Year and Westside Impact Teacher of the Year. Next, Stephanie moved into a leadership role as an Instructional Coach where she coached and mentored special education providers. Over the course of Stephanie’s career, she has developed and delivered professional development in all aspects of special education and best practice teaching strategies. Stephanie has a strong knowledge base in Special Education Disabilities, Teaching Strategies, Co-Teaching, Data Collection, and How to Write Effective IEP’s. As Director of Special Education, Stephanie will bring this depth and breadth of knowledge and experience to this role in supporting our school partners.
